No Hulk, New Player, Cow Bells and Miami FC's last game at FIU stadium

Hulkamania will not be coming to FIU Stadium after all. Turns out the Hulkster canceled his South Florida dates. No further info was given.

While all the drama concerning USL's sale was going on, Miami FC signed a new player. He is Forward Aaron King who transferred last Friday. King, will be need up front as Miami's forwards have not been very efficient this year. Aaron was injured during the first half of the season, and comes by way of the Railhawks where he appeared in a total of six matches. As usual we never get much info out of the Miami FC site so I found this at the "Railhawks Report" Click Here

Miami FC Defender #6 Zourab Tsiskaridze best known to fans as "Zee" is said to have saved a child from drowning. No details are known about the incident but we'll get you the full scoop. This proves Zee is a hero on and off the field. He's also a good free kicker and has already scored for the Blues. We hope to see Zee play versus the Portland Timbers this Friday and Sunday at FIU Stadium.

As posted on this blog and on miamisoccerfan.com Our friend Burrito stumbled upon 2 Miami FC tickets the other day and donated them to the Miami Ultras. To get these FREE Tickets come up with the best chant, song or belligerent rant to be used at the soccer games Friday and Sunday against Portland.

A few Miami FC Fans have put up a couple of videos this week of Sundays match against the Whitecaps, which I must add Miami FC won 2-1.

New Miami FC Jersey, History of South Florida Soccer and more

This Season it seems everything that has to do with Miami FC is late. The team almost folded due to MLS and we didn't know until the last minute it would survive. Therefore the team was organized at the last minute and so to continue with that trend this season the new Miami FC jersey finally came out in time for the July 4th game against the Puerto Rico Islanders.
To get a better view click on the picture to the right. What do you think? You can get the new jersey at Miami FC games or at Soccer Locker for a mere $40.00. Get your jersey and support our professional team.

It seems Miami FC will lose Facundo Erpen and Richard Perdomo. This according to the Miami Herald. Both seem to be ready to make moves Perdomo to Platense of Honduras and Erpen to a yet unknown team. Perdomo was recently on Republica Deportiva where incidentally the Miami Ultras also appeared (You can see the video in a post below). For more thoughts and the direction this is taking the team read this Miami Ultra piece called "Traffic Sports 2 Miami FC 0"

Also on the Ultras site you can check out more History of Pro Soccer in South Florida as Robert Scorca takes us back to the Miami Gatos days. Click here

Folks lets get out there this Sunday July 12th as the Blues will take on the MLS bound Vancouver Whitecaps at FIU Stadium. The game is set to start at 6 pm with an Ultras tailgate starting at 4 pm. The Beer is FREE! So get out there and support Soccer in South Florida!

Miami FC returns home to play the now traditional Fourth of July game against the first place Puerto Rico Islanders. This game will be played at FIU Stadium and will include fireworks immediately after the game. For more info go to the Miami FC website and get your tickets! Vamos Miami! Let's go Blues!

Miami FC was on WQAM 56o's DA show Thursday night to promote the July 4th game. Miami FC's Ignacio and the the lovely Jessica were there representing the Blues. On the left you can see Russ the intern with Jessica at the studio (lucky sucker). DA brought up a good point. Why are there no cheerleaders this year? The Miami FC budget was mentioned but something is in the works on this subject folks and Uncle Ed will let you know as things develop.
Below you can hear in on the Miami FC segment on the DA show at about the 60 minute mark on Thursday called "Heat on AI". Unfortunately the segment was short and no phone calls? Let's go South Florida Soccer fans we need to call in every day. Call DA at 305-567-0560 or #560 from AT & T cell phones every weeknight 8-11 pm. You can also email questions to da@wqam.com. But lets call in at anytime, let them know we want Soccer in Miami!

Miami FC: The Southern Legion make their presence felt at Lockhart Stadium

The Southern Legion is Miami FC's new fan group!
Formed on the ashes of the failed MLS Miami Barcelona bid, this group of rag tag soccer fans want to make a difference!
On Friday April 24, at 8PM, when Miami FC plays versus the Montreal Impact, The Southern Legion (Legion del Sur) expect to be a force to be reckoned with.
I spoke to Sean Gibb and Luis Rodriguez, founders of the group who say "FIU is our turf, our back yard" and they expect to be out there in force!
Good job guys, we need to make FIU stadium a fort, our home is our battle ground and along with the Ultras we need to make the Impact or any team that visits us fear the very idea of stepping a foot in our home!
Vamos Miami!!! Lets go Blues! For more pictures of the Southern Legion (Legion del Sur) and if you want to join them go to: The Southern Legion Facebook page

Miami FC : Mindless Thoughts podcast, Uncle Ed on the Sun Sentinel and more...

My voice is still recovering from all the yelling after Miami FC's victory over the Cleveland City Stars this past Saturday. I'm still excited that our players did such a good job. They really made us proud!

In our effort to keep people informed and updated on everything Miami FC, Pieter Brown president of the Miami Ultras, Miguel Mejia, Star Trek fan and master of all things football and yours truly (Uncle Ed) decided to continue Pieter's creation, a weekly podcast that we hope everyone will enjoy. Click here to listen: "Mindless Thoughts". We appreciate any feed back and constructive criticisms so that we can make it better. Be sure to check it out every week at the Miami Ultras site!

I was also quoted by Jeff Rusnack of the Sun Sentinel on Sunday:
"I used to drive up for the Fusion," said Ed Serrano, who drove from Kendall wearing a Fusion jersey and a Miami FC scarf. "I'll be at FIU for sure. I'll take more people to FIU. A lot didn't want to make the drive."
More here: Sun Sentinel

Attention Miami Soccer Fans:
FIU has announced a special ticket plan: Seats are available for $5 at the school's arena box office or by calling 305-FIU-GAME.

FIU Stadium to host Miami FC games plus Songs & Chants to learn and love!

"We couldn't be happier to play in the two most appropriate, fan-friendly stadiums in South Florida.'' So said Miami FC President Aaron Davidson in an interview in yesterdays Miami Herald.
Davidson is referring to the fact that Miami FC will be playing at both FIU Stadium and Broward's Lockhart Stadium this year and quite possibly Tropical Park as well.

No matter where you are in South Florida you will be close to the games so come out and support Miami FC. Buy your tickets now: Miami FC

We now know where Miami FC will play their first 3 games. The Blues will be playing the opener against Cleveland on Saturday April 18. Then Miami FC will go to Miami 's FIU Stadium on Friday April 24 versus The Montreal Impact and that Sunday April 26 against Rochester back at Lockhart Stadium.

We need to prepare and practice our songs and chants, we only have 8 days to go! Here are a couple of Songs courtesy of the Miami Ultras.

Blues Go Marchin’ In

Oh when the Blues
Oh when the Blues
Oh when the Blues go marchin in,
I want to be in that number,
Oh when the Blues go marching in....
(repeat)

Vamoos, Miami

Vamoos
Vamoos, Miami
Que esta noche
tenemos que ganar!
(repeat)

Here is the "Miami Ultras Song" in video (words below)

"Miami Ultras Song"

Men have lived
And Men have died
Dreaming of
A team to pride

We toast the sun
We thank our stars
That we have
This team of ours

Good or Bad
They hold our fate
With feet so strong
They devastate
We praise -We pray for the great

(Chorus 3X)
M-I
A-M-I
What a fan
Of fans am I
Upper 90 in the net
M-I-A the safest bet
